When something goes wrong with your heating or air conditioning, you want to talk to someone who is highly motivated to get a technician out to you as soon as possible, and someone who….well, actually cares. At Star Heating and Cooling, that person is our office manager, Sarah Wallace. She will not only do everything she can to get you scheduled as quickly as possible, but knows enough about the HVAC business to be able to give you useful information before your technician arrives, and can often give you a general idea of cost or hours needed to complete the job.
In addition to scheduling service and installation jobs, Sarah takes care of billing and payroll, orders supplies and parts, helps prepare bids for commercial jobs, relays information to and from technicians, and takes care of all those other details that helps make the business run smoothly. And because Star offers 24/7 emergency service, she keeps her phone near at hand all day (and night), every day.
Sarah is the oldest of owner Mike Wallace’s five children, but that’s not the reason she earned the job. Sarah learned the HVAC business at two other local heating and cooling companies before accepting her father’s offer (or should we say plea?) to come work for him at Star Heating and Cooling. It’s her personal interest in the future of this business that makes her care about each and every call, and give you the kind of individual attention you can really only receive from a family owned business.
So now you know that next time you call Star Heating and Cooling with your HVAC issues or questions, it’s likely to be Sarah Wallace who picks up the phone, and will personally see that you are satisfied with the job from start to finish.
